November is Picture Book Month, and what better way to celebrate than by reading a picture book every day?

The Defiance Public Library System Celebrate Picture Books Challenge for All Ages will take place November 1-30 at Beanstack: defiancelibrary.beanstack.org. This challenge is not just for children. Adults can have fun revisiting childhood memories and discovering new gems, and children can enjoy the closeness of reading with a loved one while improving their reading and writing skills.

To play, simply read picture books and record your reading using Beanstack or the Beanstack Tracker app (available at Apple and Google Play stores). Entrants will receive one raffle entry for each completed picture book. There will be three raffles for area business gift cards throughout the month, and one grand raffle at the end.

The grand prize winner will receive an original work of art by author / illustrator David LaRochelle, as well as gift cards to businesses in the area.

Those in need of inspiration can find picture book bundles at all three DPLS locations: Defiance Public Library, Sherwood Branch Library, and Johnson Memorial Library in Hicksville.

For teens, the TeenTober Book Nerd Challenge runs until November 5 (defiancelibrary.org/teentober).
